Continuous Improvement for 2024

To start out the New Year, I have been continuing along the path of sharpening my technical skills, specifically in the DevOps / DevSecOp space. I have been following this roadmap to help me track some of the skills I want to work on.

Because I hold quite a few certifications that I achieved as part of my studies, there are a few that I want to keep active. One of which is the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). My aim in renewing the certification is to complete three other security related certifications. I’m starting out with the HashiCorp Vault Associate. After that, I will go after the AWS Certified Security - Specialty and then the Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.

Outside of these certifications, I’m continuing to build my skills working with Python, Go, AWS CDK and container / container orchestration technologies as all of these seem to have the biggest impact on the work that I face daily.

I will do my best to continue to post based on things I am working on, issues I face and share code when possible. Not everything I work on will be public on GitHub, but you are free to follow me on Github or connect with me on LinkedIn.

Update: I passed and obtained my HashiCorp Vault Associate on February 27th. I’m preparing for the AWS Certified Security - Specialty currently.
